And this is Fav icon solution that does not often lose tips. Try the first step, if it unsuccessfully , try the second tips.

  1. Make sure the image extension is .ico. Because if you use another extension like jpg, gif, or png it will not work well.
  2. Put your fav ico code under the blogger fav ico code. I took this code with Page source with Flock browser, so this code not from my template part, because blogger hide their code when you edit your template. Look this code carefully :

    ......

    <meta content='blogger' name='generator'/>
    <link href='http://www.blogger.com/favicon.ico' rel='icon' type='image/vnd.microsoft.icon'/>
    <link rel="alternate" type="application/atom+xml" title="Blogger Custom - Atom" href="http://www.bloggercustom.net/feeds/posts/default" />
    <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Blogger Custom - RSS" href="http://www.bloggercustom.net/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss" />
    <link rel="service.post" type="application/atom+xml" title="Blogger Custom - Atom" href="http://www.blogger.com/feeds/1283761636212142470/posts/default" />
    <link rel="EditURI" type="application/rsd+xml" title="RSD" href="http://www.blogger.com/rsd.g?blogID=1283761636212142470" />
    <link rel="me" href="http://www.blogger.com/profile/09709386247714065206" />
    <link rel="openid.server" href="http://www.blogger.com/openid-server.g" />
    <link href='http://underbone50.googlepages.com/bc-ico.ico' rel='icon' type='image/vnd.microsoft.icon'/>
    <title>Blogger Custom | SEO Tips | Blog Design and resource tutorial </title>

    .....

    The red text is blogger fav icon and the blue text is your fav icon code. You'll never see text red text in your "Edit HTML" section. So, put your fav ico code after <b:include data='blog' name='all-head-content'/> code like this :

    <head>
    ......
    <b:include data='blog' name='all-head-content'/>
    ......
    <link href='http://underbone50.googlepages.com/bc-ico.ico' rel='icon' type='image/vnd.microsoft.icon'/>

    Doesn't not work well ? Your fav icon still hide ? Try this one, put your fav icon code before <b:skin> code :

    <link href='http://underbone50.googlepages.com/bc-ico.ico' rel='icon' type='image/vnd.microsoft.icon'/>
    <b:skin>

    And Save your template.
